GRIDS Summer 2009 Logo Contest
About the logo contest
GRIDS is in the process of redesigning its logo, as we want your help! A student design organization ought to have one of its own create its logo, so we are holding a contest to redo the existing logo. Winner takes $200 (and a bit of pride). The winner will also receive an award certificate and an honorable mention on our website (re-design coming Summer 2009 as well). This is a great opportunity to kick off the summer, win some cash, and add a piece to your portfolio!
Design, Designer
Design: Global Coalition for Peace, http://bigantinternational.com/
From Big Ant International. I love relevancy in design. Their history is just as inspiring, starting as five students from SVA in NYC.
Designer: Brent Holloman, http://brentholloman.squarespace.com
A great example of how a lot of design is hand-made. Brent has some beautifully tactile work.
Design, Designer
The end of the semester is fast-approaching and I haven't been perusing my obscene list of blogs with quite as much enthusiasm. Still, I have some good stuff for you before we break:
Design: For Print Only, http://underconsideration.com/fpo/
A blog devoted to print. I feel like this link has been everywhere - I'm just doing my part to make sure everyone sees it. Includes all the special processes used, production cost, who designed it and more.
Designer: Design Observer, http://designobserver.com/
How about an awesome blog filled with designers?
