Portfolio submission is just around the corner! GRIDS is happy to continue our annual Portfolio Review Workshops for pre-majors. Bring your drawings, photographs, and work from GPHD 25 and 30 to Kadema 166 for review and critique. Meet upper division design students who have already been through the portfolio review process. Although they cannot tell you what to submit, they can give ideas, critique, and help with craft issues.

The workshop will be from 6—7:30pm.

On Thursday, February 4th, Chuck D from Public Enemy will be speaking on campus about race, music and digital media. The Hip-Hop legend will present his unique and insightful perspective.

GRIDS's own Inida Curry designed the promotional materials for the event. The lecture begins at 7:30 pm in the University Union Ballroom and is completely FREE!

Reconnect with other GRIDS members before school starts, hang out and make something fun. Professor Gwen Amos will demonstrate how to make a book that can be used to hold notes, pictures or anything you want to use it for (see images). Once you register you will be given a supply list of items you'll need to complete the project.
